The blue breathing light you have heard about is the confirmation color that the keypad is connected to the cellular tower. IF this is not blue, your keypad is not connected properly to a cellular tower. First try repowering your keypad and wait 5 minutes and check again. If still no connection, you will want to purchase a booster antennae.
