Door Alarms for Individual Doors

Bring in additional revenue with door alarms

Door Alarms

Boost your revenue while giving tenants added peace of mind!

Providing an extra layer of security helps tenants feel confident that their units are well-protected. Our individual door alarms offer the level of protection tenants expect from a top-tier storage facility—and they’re simple to install and maintain.

Our wireless door alarms mount easily to the door casing using two screws and a pop rivet. Powered by a high-sensitivity sensor, each unit offers 3–5 years of battery life, providing long-term protection against potential theft. When it’s time to replace the battery, simply remove the alarm unit, insert a new battery, and reattach the cover—it’s quick and hassle-free. Every unit is also equipped with a tamper sensor to detect and report any unauthorized attempts to remove the cover.

To operate the door unit alarms, a wireless gateway with both internet access and power is required. Alarms should be placed within 20–30 feet of each other to create a mesh network, and you can add as many as needed. A single gateway can support up to 200 alarms, and you can install multiple gateways to ensure full coverage across all your units.

Unit alarms are tied to an individual’s gate code, so access control keypads are required to connect. Once, your tenant enters their gate code, it deactivates the alarm for their unit.

If an alarm is triggered, the unit owner and the manager of the facility receive a text message and an email alerting them to the alarm.

Unit alarms are a great security feature and a potential upsell for your facility.

How door unit alarms are installed

Installing individual door alarms is a simple process. First, drill two holes to mount the alarm onto the door frame. Then, drill one hole into the roll-up door itself to attach the magnet using a pop rivet. It’s that easy.
